Inside Outpost 7: How We Created the First Transmission

How Scarred By Sunrise was built — concept, songwriting, sound, and the visual world around the first transmission.

When we started building Scarred By Sunrise, the goal wasn't simply to make another AI-generated song. The goal was to create a believable band with its own identity, story, and sound.

Everything began with the concept.

Before a single note was written, we developed the world of Scarred By Sunrise—a near-future Los Angeles where aggressive music had been outlawed and the band's broadcasts became an act of resistance. Once that universe was established, every creative decision was made to support it.

The songwriting came next. We wrote the lyrics, defined the emotion behind the song, and determined how the first transmission should introduce the band. Rather than asking AI to "write a song," we used it as a creative partner to help explore ideas, refine lyrics, experiment with arrangements, and iterate until the music matched the vision.

The sound was just as important. We wanted classic arena hard rock with massive guitars, powerful vocals, and live energy inspired by the late 1970s and early 1980s. We spent countless revisions refining guitar tones, drum feel, vocal delivery, tempo, dynamics, and overall production until it captured the atmosphere we imagined.

Once the music was complete, we built the visual world around it. Character designs, environments, promotional artwork, videos, and the Outpost 7 storyline were all developed to make Scarred By Sunrise feel like a real band instead of a collection of songs.

Throughout the entire process, AI accelerated creativity, but it never replaced it. Every lyric, revision, visual direction, and final decision was guided by a clear human vision.

"I Knew the Day Would Come" wasn't created by pressing a button. It was built through hundreds of creative decisions, countless revisions, and a commitment to creating a world that listeners could believe in.

This was only the first transmission.
